Q: What do I need to make these receivers work?
A: All you need is a satellite dish pointing to the Astra 2 satellite,
a satellite receiver with the appropriate CCcam.cfg file installed,
and an internet connection.
(for best results, an Ethernet cable should be used).
Visit our products page.
Q: What is a CCcam.cfg file - and what does it do?
A: The receiver needs a sharing protocol software installed called CCcam.cfg file.
This is the bit of software that talks directly to the servers that hold the original
satellite subscription information.
Every 2-5 seconds your tv picture will be encrypted by the supplier and therefore
needs the decryption keys.
Once this happens, your receiver will talk to your providers server's to obtain the
password in real time and deliver it back to your receiver.
This all happens in milliseconds to make sure that your viewing pleasure is
not disturbed by freezing or pixilation.
In short, you will receive all your favourite channels from your preferred suppliers,
simply by using your satellite dish and broadband at home.
There are a some providers out there - but many have been tested and found to have
picture freeze etc..
This is mainly caused by some unscrupulous resellers installing only one Cline into their, CCcam.cfg file.
The Cline is the code that talks to the server in the CCcam.cfg file.
Q: Do you sell other packages for other countries?
A: No, we only provide receivers for the UK market.
Q:How do I configure my receiver to use CCcam file or cline?
A: Go to our How to videos page for all video information and tutorials, exclusive to openbox4u.co.uk
Q: Can I split the Clines up and install them into other boxes?
A: STRICTLY NO! Please read our terms of service

Q: I sometimes experience problems with the picture scrambling, freezing or glitching.
Is there anything I can do about this?
A: First, try rebooting your modem.
As mentioned previously, an Ethernet connection will give better results than a wifi connection.
Pay TV services operate an encryption policy that requires your receiver to retrieve a new decoding word every few seconds.
This does not involve a particularly large amount of bandwidth - but it is time critical.
Therefore, if one of these messages is lost due to delays on the internet, congestion on your line, or congestion at your ISP, it is possible that your picture may scramble or become blocky for a few seconds.
To ensure you are receiving the best possible results from the servers, we would recommend that you should use an Ethernet cable to your router, and avoid downloading large files on your home network, at the same as you are watching television.
If your connection to the internet is busy downloading, you may experience some problems.
Q: What are the differences between your boxes ?
A: We have three different models on offer, including the new V8Se.
Not one of the Openbox models is inferior or superior to the others.
All models will provide you with equal viewing quality designed to suit your specific needs.
In our opinion the manufacturers have failed to make the perfect box.Visit our what is the right Openbox4u page to view the different options.
Q: Hi I brought a openbox from someone on gumtree worked for about
20 mins I didn't get all the channels I was told.
all it did was scrambled then the bloke wouldn't answer the phone. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY WHAT A F######G RIP OFF.....
A: Sounds like you have brought a box with a cloned Cline.
Unscrupulous sellers will Buy a single Cline account and duplicate it many times then install it into multiple receivers that conflict with all of the other receivers with the same cline.
1 cline account into 1 receiver is how it should be.
But unfortunately this is a Grey industry and there is going to be someone out to rip people off .
